Podcast Review: Potterless

If you follow Barely Bookish on Facebook, or you’re a part of the Readers and Writers Facebook group, you’ve probably seen the sheer amount of Harry Potter things I’ve been posting recently. Well, I am finally here to tell you why. I’ve been listening to Potterless. Well, actually, I’ve been binging Potterless. For all my fellow Harry Potter nerds out there, I think you’re going to love this podcast so I wanted to take a minute to talk about it.

Potterless is about a grown adult who’s never read the Harry Potter books and has only seen the first four movies. It’s wonderful. Also, it’s a bit of a hot take on the Harry Potter franchise. I can honestly guarantee that they will talk about things you probably never thought of.

If you never read the Harry Potter series, like me, it’s a great way to get introduced to it. There are so many things that happened in the books that didn’t happen in the movies. Mike Schubert does an amazing job recapping each chapter as he talks about his opinion. After listening to this, I am itching to read the books myself, I can’t help it.

I’ll be honest, I am not fully caught up yet. But, fifty episodes in, I’ve got to say, you all HAVE to check this out. It’s too good. Honestly, even if you’re really not that into Harry Potter, I still think you might like it. Listing to the complaints about Quidditch is truly one of my favorite things.
